I am a firm believer in living a life filled with passion, energy and enthusiasm for the things a person decides they really care about. For me, my endeavors are those that contribute to the society and environment in a positive way, enhancing the lives of those around me, the community, and hopefully the world at large. I live life with a purpose and try to keep this in-focus every day.
As I write this, I am an engineering professional in the energy sector focusing on sustainable engineering, clean-tech and participation in the advancement of renewable energy technology. While my background includes work in the non-profit sector in executive roles, management and fundraising, most recently I have been gaining technical expertise as an electrical engineer through studies at the University at Buffalo, specializing in power systems, with a focus on sustainable and renewable energy systems, as well as smart grid.
I really love the outdoors and try to enjoy it as much as I can. It’s safe to say that I’m addicted to skiing and running. Most recently I’ve started getting into sky diving. I also believe that enjoying the “little things” of life can be equally as enjoyable as the “big things.” For me this includes spending time with family and friends, jamming on my bass guitar, sipping a rich IPA or just walking through a busy city street enjoying the community and people around me.
At the end of the day…this is how I believe life should be lived:
“Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave site in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting…..
“HOLY CRAP, WHAT A RIDE!”
